Clinical Executive Board
A new structure of internal governance committees was agreed by the Board in June 2011.
Previously the Clinical Executive Board (CEB) preformed a central governance role within the Trust. Changes to the Executive Team Membership and meetings provided an opportunity to review the governance arrangements. The appointment of four Divisional Clinical Directors has increased the medical input to the Executive Team and is revitalising the accountability of the Divisions.
The creation of four Executive leads, and multi-disciplinary sub committees of the Executive Team will provide the appropriate oversight, participation, responsibility and accountability.
All mandatory and third party monitoring groups and four Executive Committees will report to the Executive Team:
- Infrastructure Committee
- Operations Committee
- Patients Committee
- Strategy Committee
The Executive leads of each committee would attend the existing Assurance Committees which will continue to provide Board assurance.
