For patients
Patient Advice Liaison Service PALS offers confidential, on the spot advice and support, helping patients, relatives and other visitors to sort out any concerns they may have about their care. Our email address is: PALS@colchesterhospital.nhs.uk
Appointments. Phone numbers and email addresses of departments if you need to change, rearrange or cancel your hospital appointment.
For visitors, friends and relatives
To send a message to an inpatient at either of our hospitals, please include their first name and surname and the ward they are on. (If you don't know the ward, please give the patient's address and postcode so we can cross-check our records.) Then email your message to: info@colchesterhospital.nhs.uk
Emails are handled weekdays during office hours, and we try to get them to the patient by the next working day. (Note: we don't accept 'eCards' or similar, just an email.)
You may wish to phone a ward directly and we publish the ward phone numbers for Colchester General Hospital and for Essex County Hospital here. Don't forget that a patient can receive phonecalls from their friends and family to their own Hospedia bedside entertainment system*, although they have to set this up once at the hospital.
* not Essex County Hospital
