Updated 4 April 2017
Car parking is limited at our hospitals and not guaranteed. Because of the pressure on car park spaces, we would strongly encourage you to explore alternative ways of travelling to the hospital.
Essex County Hospital is more limited space-wise than Colchester General Hospital but there are 30 pay & display parking spaces for patients and visitors plus six spaces for people displaying a valid disabled badge.
The Pay and Display machines do not give change at Essex County Hospital.
Free parking spaces for disabled people are available close to the hospital, subject to a valid disabled badge being displayed. If full, you may park in an ordinary parking bay, but you must not park on double yellow lines. Most pedestrian entrances of the hospital are accessible by wheelchair users. For further advice contact PALS or the front desk in the main entrance to Colchester General Hospital.
|Up to 1 hr||£1.80|
Discount Parking Permits are available for regular visitors.
Unfortunately our payment machines do not take credit or debit card payments - sorry.
This document has more information on our Parking and Concessions.
If you have any queries regarding permits, please telephone the General Office at Colchester General Hospital on 01206 742334
