Our Members' Council has 13 public governors and five staff governors elected in 2008 by postal ballot. The Trust is now holding two by-elections for public governors. One is in the Tendring public constituency following the resignation of public governor Mark Lowdell. The second by-election is in Halstead & Colne Valley following James Buckley-Saxon's resignation.

The final date for delivery of nomination papers to be a public governor in the Tendring public constituency was 25 January. For Halstead & Colne Valley it was 9 February.

Only public members in the relevant constituency can vote - or stand as a governor - in either by-election.

The by-elections are conducted as postal ballots, run by the Association of Electoral Administrators. The AEA are a key player in the electoral field and are recognised by the Electoral Commission and several government departments as experts. The AEA has experience of conducting municipal, national parliamentary and European parliamentary elections, along with referenda and by-elections.

Keep an eye on this page as it will be updated throughout the by-election periods. Below are the timetables and a downloadable information pack.
