A series of free evening talks where a different leading doctor or other healthcare professional will speak on a health topic relevant to today's lifestyle. Anyone, including Members, their friends and family, are more than welcome to come along.
Free and open to the public, full details from the Membership Helpline at the start of the month or on this page.
It's also a chance to meet governors, meet senior staff and we serve refreshments!
Please note that we do not give a specific location as some rooms hold fewer people than others. We would prefer you to book your free place via the Membership Helpline so we can order enough refreshments and get enough chairs!

Bowel cancer and inflammatory bowel disease - everything you wanted to know but were too afraid to ask

Bowel cancer is the third most common cancer in England, with 40,000 new cases each year - the vast majority occurring in people over the age of 50.
Inflammatory bowel disease, consisting of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, affects a quarter of a million people in the UK, particularly in the younger age group.
Miss Gupta will discuss the symptoms and signs of both of these conditions, as well as the treatment options available, with plenty of opportunity for questions from the audience.
She is lead inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) surgeon at Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust and also performs laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for bowel cancer.
She has a particular interest in training and is involved in teaching surgeons and other clinical staff, both at The ICENI Centre at Colchester General Hospital, as well as on national and international training courses.
