Support organisations

A support group is usually made up of volunteers and patients who have experience of a condition. Their functions vary but they will usually have a telephone helpline, hold meetings or produce relevant information. Some may offer a visiting service or practical help. For all groups the main aim is to offer understanding and appropriate knowledge and experience.
