Cancer doctor to be guest speaker

26 June 2017

A cancer doctor at Colchester General Hospital will be the guest speaker at next week’s meeting of the North East Essex Urology Cancer Support Group.

Dr Devyanee Basu, an associate specialist in clinical oncology, will give a presentation at the meeting on Wednesday 5 July.

It will take place between 6pm and 8pm in Training Rooms South, Colchester General Hospital (near the hospital's main entrance).

The meeting is open to patients, partners and carers whose lives have been affected by any urological cancer – kidney, prostate, bladder, testicular or penile.

The North East Essex Urology Cancer Support Group meets on the first Wednesday of every month, except in August and January.

Meetings are informal and people attending have plenty of time to chat with each other. Activities also include social evenings, guest speakers and a chance to meet clinicians.
