About this service

Pregnancy and birth services at ESNEFT

When you first learn that you’re pregnant, please get in touch with a midwife or GP as soon as possible.  Telling your GP and/or midwife promptly will help to make sure you receive maternity healthcare that takes into account all your health needs and preferences.

Our aims are:

  • To offer choice, support, information and excellent care to you and your family throughout your pregnancy, during your labour and after your baby is born
  • To provide high-quality, safe care that meets your needs and those of your baby and family

We will help you to make informed decisions about your care so that you and your family feel confident about your pregnancy, birth and parenting your new baby.  Wherever you choose to have your baby we want you to have the best birth experience.

We are delighted to support you throughout this very special time and look forward to welcoming you and your partner to one of our maternity departments very soon.

We place you and your family at the centre and involve you in all decision-making regarding your pregnancy, labour and birth.  As you come to decide where you would like to give birth, your midwife will discuss with you any information you need to help you make an informed choice.
