Skin Cancer Services

Community Outpatients works with Colchester General Hospital to provide its patients with Skin Cancer Services. Together we work to provide a variety of diagnostic, treatment and monitoring services for patients with Skin Cancers: Malignant Melanoma (MM); Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) and Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC).

All skin cancer cases are reviewed by multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings on a weekly basis including dermatologists, plastic surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, radiologists and skin cancer clinical nurse specialist as well as the MDT coordinator. This is in compliance with NICE Guidelines, including:

Diagnostic Services

All diagnostic work is fully audited and all clinicians participate in peer review and appraisal.
